OG’s Ceiling

What do you guys think? Are we seeing OG hit his ceiling?

I had him pegged at a 16ppg 2 steals 1 block type of 3&D wing. (Which is amazing btw and exactly what you want from a non star).

He had 32 points last night and 7 ****ing steals. The game before he had 6 steals.
I’ve noticed he is willing to be the top scoring threat when he has the biggest mismatch.

I don’t see him physically improving at all from here, but his skills can still improve. Overall if he stays like this I would be very happy to have him in my starting 5.

What do you think? Any ceiling left? What’s peak OG look like to you?

Offensively in terms of stars in OG's draft class he surely doesn't compare to the likes of a Tatum or a Lonzo or a Fultz but he is surely better than most in his draft class. However, as far as his offensive ceiling does he have potential to get better and put up All Star like numbers? Yeah he does but his work ethic sometimes leaves a lot to be desired but defensively he is all right in the sense that he's decent on lockdown defense but he needs to get better to even be considered All Defense someday.

I would love to see him improve on his handles a bit. I think he is a solid player, and will be a great 3&D role player in this league for years to come. I don't see him becoming a star caliber player but a defensive specialist who can also score in spurts and be a solid glue guy.

An elite 3 and d wing. He's come a long way in the areas he struggled coming into the league, such as ball handling and finishing at the rim. I expect him to continue improving in those areas year by year and become a consistent 3 point threat. He does a good job reading the floor as well and that should also further improve with experience.

He is already a pretty good 3&D player you're right. But there's def room to grow. I don't think he'll be as good as Ron Artest in his prime but I could be wrong, it's not a stretch to say that could be his ceiling.

Can you elaborate? Do you mean his fast break/getting back on defence? Or do you mean his mid range game?

Unless he develops is dribble enough to break down a weaker defender then I do not want him taking any mid range shots that aren’t wide open.

I honestly think we are really lucky to have someone like OG on the roster. A lot of teams wish they had someone like him. Look at how Covington has been valued. OG would look amazing on the rockets. People would be saying he’s better than ariza was imo (ppl say all sorts of **** with recency bias).

His mid or close range game and being able to pull up off the dribble. He has improved at putting the ball on the floor but he still has ways to go. He also has a tendency to lose control when going into traffic or when he is speeding up going to the rim.

Yes he would need to improve in those areas if he wants to go full artest.
