    Can you sue now because someone didn't want to do business with you? There was no broken contract, right?

    From the press release it sounds like they are suing the Yankees and MLB for false promises. Whether those were in writing or not, I guess we'll find out when it goes to court. A lot of these teams heard of their dismissal via Twitter or press conference. I get MLB and these ML teams aren't obligated to these minor league affiliates besides what is in a written contract but its not good optics that an entity that makes 10 billion dollars a year are actively dumping minor league teams. They can't really even attribute it to the pandemic because there was talk of this prior to COVID forcing baseball teams to cut back their expenses.
