Cant go wrong with a minor league deal for a once former top spec. Still throws hard at least.

Iím still pumped about the farm. High potential. Would have been great if Pardinho and Groshans didnít have most of last year wiped away due to injury or if Kevin smith didnít bust. These would help fill the vacuum beneath Pearson

Warmoth too. He had a good showing in the AFL after a rough 2019. 295/394/443 over 71 ABs this fall. If he can earn a promotion to AAA this year then maybe he might even be a September call up?

I like this farm. A lot. I'm high AF on SWR and am starting to get more and more excited about Alejandro Kirk. SWR has the potential to be a better prospect than Nate Pearson.

I too am really high on the farm. Probably just prospect porn, but still I'm loving it.

AJ Cole, is just bullpen depth for me.

It's all high round picks and international signings who are in our top 15. Back in the days of AA it was picks in the teens or 20's at best. Borucki, Tellez, Pompey, Jansen etc. No high ceiling guys, just guys who performed above their original expectation.

Yeah I could care less about what are farm is ranked. Itís full of high upside guys who have the talent to make major strides in rankings. We just lack the big name Guys who are MLB ready like last year. Other then Pearson of course.

Like I mentioned before the MLB team just added basically a roster full of rookies literally are whole infield is going into their sophomore season. In 2-3 years we could have a pile of high end prospects/rookies and guys like Vladdy and Bo entering their prime.

I just find it funny when people are down on where the team is at right now. The team will never be a big attraction for the top FAís no matter who the GM is so develop and trade is the way to go.

    Key word there.

If I had confidence in Atkins ability to do exactly that, then the conversation would change drastically.

I believe it was hanton who posted all of the home grown players from the ALE, and even a team like the rays relies mostly on smart trades and cunning FA signings to build their low budget contender.

The nay sayers are all the people that still have their boner for AA. Weíve seen Gurriel, Vladdy Jr, Bo and Biggio churned our already. These guys can draft and develop.

I donít necessarily agree that Toronto isnít a top FA attraction. Itís more so that AA couldnít lure anyone to sign here. Even Ricciardi signed names like BJ Ryan, AJ Burnett and Bengie Molina. AA signed Martin to a ridiculously large contract. Hell, Roger Clemens signed here as a FA at one point. Atkins hasnít really had the opportunity to go out and spend prior to this year. Yes he technically had financial flexibility last off-season but lacked reason to spend. Iím hopeful heíll go out and get a piece or two this off-season whether it be the trade route or FA.

Quite a busy day with many minor transactions. Jays traded Shafer to the Reds for cash considerations.

Jorge Bonifacio was released to waivers by the Royals. I'm sure some team will take a chance....
Zunino signs, avoiding arbitration with the Rays
    Cardinals release Dominic Leone

Mariners sign one of their top prospects Evan White to a six-year $24MM incentive laden contract..... hasn't played a game in the majors.

Well guys, something is going to happen because Justin Shafer was on the 40 man.

I'm pretty sure he was DFA'd a few days ago along with Mayza to make room for Hatch and Espinal
