Leaves Bowden Francis as the back up plan to start the year?

I guess hoping to just through June-ish with Dragon coming up at that time and ryu back for aug sept in an ideal scenario.
    Patchwork.

Reasonable as long as berrios bounces back.
Or leaving room for a TDL ace?!?!

    That works too.
Pearson losing even more potential playing time with Green signing

Good to have the next 3 seasons sorted out. No surprise he wants to test FA though. There’s no other big name SS available for a loooooong time.

It’s not ideal but having a Kikuchi/White combo for 5th starter until Ryu comes back isn’t terrible. If Ricky makes it up then that’s a bonus.

The thing I’m worried about is something you touched on, the back up plan. If this rotation gets a few injuries then there’s nothing beyond the names listed above. Unless we’re counting Drew Hutchison.

I suspected he would sign a deal. Maybe it's for 3 years $45 mil.

I've heard it's 30, but haven't seen anything official. $30 is a good deal for us I think.

Wouldn't the arb go from like 7 mil to 15 mil to 22 mil?

Chapman for 2 years $25 mil so Bo should get at least close to $40 mil I think.

Bo's deal is $33.6M guaranteed, no mention of incentives.

It would depend on performance still, but yes that’s the type of trajectory he’s on.

    per Rosenthal

Bo Bichette’s with the Blue Jays is $33.6m guaranteed for three years, source tells. No options. Escalators and awards can bring three-year total to as much as $40.65M.

I didn't think he would get that much especially since Bo asked for 7, jays offered 5

So looks like it's 6, 12, 17 base with 7 mil in incentives.
