They claimed someone so had to clear a 40 spot and I guess he was the most expendable.

True, I felt like he could've been a tad bit useful..could use the depth

He was gonna get let go anyways. They are still going to add at least 2 to the 40 man before spring training. His days were numbered. Time to start grabbing value players.

Fellow Giants fans: I hope you're all enjoying the off-season. Our long-term uptrend as a franchise has only begun. Management is setting us up in prime position to compete for years to come. Our farm system is becoming loaded with great prospects; the farm is becoming one of our strengths. Contracts are close to getting off the books, things are going to get very, very interesting in the next 1-2 years. We should all be stoked. Cheers.

Yes. We just need to endure 1-2 boring/awful seasons, but it will be well worth it. Trust the Process.

And Drew smyly just became that starting pitcher. If he can stay healthy, he can yield some good pieces at the deadline. I like the move. Now let's focus on someone with pop to man the outfield. Then, a veteran utility infielder, and a reliever or 2, and its as well rounded out as you could hope for in a rebuild.

Smyly is a nice add. Cueto/Samardz/Gausman/Smyly should all be able to go 5-6 IP per start so that will take a ton of pressure off Rodriguez/Beede/Suarez/etc

Plus there's Logan Webb/Tyler Anderson. Giants rotation is incredibly average, but some intrigue exists.
