Welp, the first pseudo-action of the sprint kicked off a few hours ago so we probably should get a thread going for Spring Training. We've already had a few "best shape of my (recent) career" quotes (thanks Lucroy) and an Ortiz sighting ("moving Mookie was great given the way the game is both business and talent"). Feel free to share news and thoughts on the Red Sox as they tune up for the 2020 MLB season.

Red Sox INF prospect CJ Chatham was scratched from Friday's exhibition against Northeastern with shoulder soreness.
Chatham was replaced by Jeter Downs in the lineup for the exhibition. The former second-round pick is expected to open the year in Triple-A, but he's already on the 40-man roster and could see time with the Red Sox before 2020 comes to an end.
Red Sox manager Ron Roenicke told reporters that there's no timetable yet as to when Alex Verdugo (back) will be ready to return.
Roenicke also said that Verdugo is doing a running program outside, and that he was able to throw for the first time since Saturday. The former Dodger is dealing with a stress fracture in his back, and while it's not expected to be a long-term injury, there is a chance he may need to open the season on the injured list.
