This guy has a under the radar high ceiling/potential. He was a former number 1 qb high school prospect (This could be hit or miss sometimes too though). His stint in Houston probably killed his chances of being drafted. A&M (Pre Jimbo Days) and the Cougars were up temp college ball teams, maybe he was better as a Pro style paced team prospect.

The Panthers announced Monday morning that Newton will miss a second straight game because of his ailing foot, while noting his return is unknown. Kyle Allen will start at quarterback Sunday at the Texans.

NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported Newton won't return to the field until he is 100 percent.

The Panthers went into last weekend having scored just two touchdowns before Allen led them to the end zone five times against the Cardinals.

ESPN radio this AM was claiming Cam will sit out the year to heal up, while the Panthers decide if they want to pay his $21M cap hit for next year (the last year of his contract).

Should trade him to the Titans for either Mariota or Tannehill to back up Allen.
    First 4 years:
    Brown - 54 GP, 27 GS, 261 catches (63.3%) for 3,561 yds (8.6 AVG), 15 TD
    Landry - 64 GP, 57 GS, 400 catches (70.2%) for 4,038 yds (10.1 AVG), 22 TD

Huh. Wonder why Landry is getting paid so much...

"Hater" is a term used by weak minded people in the face of legitimate criticism.

[Pelissero] Panthers QB Cam Newton is believed to be dealing with a Lisfranc injury, I'm told. Plan for now is to keep rehabbing in hopes of returning and avoiding surgery, but it could be awhile until he's back on the field. Kyle Allen's show until then. (@josephperson 1st)
