Are the Miami Dolphins on pace to give up the most points ever in NFL history

The last two weeks they’ve already given up 102 points with Dallas being their next opponent who could easily put up 45 on them. If that happens that will mean Miami as already given up a total of 147 points in the first 3 weeks. With their schedule not getting easier they still have to face the Patriots again, the Jets who are banged up, the Bills twice and also teams like Chargers, Steelers, Colts, Browns, and Eagles. If they do manage to get beat by 30+ will this Dolphins team down as the worst team in NFL history? Thoughts.

Thread title is a yes/no question that you could figure out by multiplying 102 x 8. Then you have your answer if they are on pace or not (answer is yes).

If you want a discussion you should have phrased it "Will they...."

True I should have given it that title? But I want to give them a few more weeks first.

The answer to the question isn't Yes, it's Hell Yes.....at their current pace they'd break the record with 6 1/2 games to play
    gotta love 'referential' treatment

They don't have home games in bad weather to lower the scores late in the year to boot. They might have some roads games in the North East though. But playing in nice weather or a dome, could be a factor later in the year.

The Dolphins are going to get relegated to the CFL at this rate.

The schedule for the first 3/4 games is terrible in the current situation with those specific opponents, but after the bye week it gets a lot better so we'll see.

reality is, there are teams on their schedule that are simply not going to put up 50 points....against anybody...so while they may still break the record, they won't allow 50/game for the season

I saw the other day that not necessarily points but points delta they are on track to set the all time NFL record... and they'd also set the all time MLB record, despite baseball having over 100 more games.
    First 4 years:
    Brown - 54 GP, 27 GS, 261 catches (63.3%) for 3,561 yds (8.6 AVG), 15 TD
    Landry - 64 GP, 57 GS, 400 catches (70.2%) for 4,038 yds (10.1 AVG), 22 TD

Huh. Wonder why Landry is getting paid so much...

So your claim is the Patriots cannot score 50 pts?

That seems like a dumb claim to make.

Do they only play the patriots for the remainder of the season?
