    Rumor: Williams to Eagles

After suffering two major injuries at defensive tackle, the Philadelphia Eagles should go all-in on a trade for Leonard Williams with now-New York Jets GM Joe Douglas.

And fortunately for the Philadelphia Eagles, the Jets have the mother of all flashy trade pieces who could put the team over the top: Thats right, were talking about Leonard Williams.

Dubbed the best player in the 2015 NFL Draft by Mike Mayok, Bleacher Report, and yours truly, Williams was an absolute beast for three seasons at USC where he logged 20 sacks, 35.5 tackles for loss, and 218 total tackles in 39 games. He then followed but a near-flawless tenure in Pasadena with an equally impressive showing at the 2015 Draft Combine, where, at 6-foot-5, 302 pounds, Williams confirmed his freakish burst by running a 4.97 40 and recording a 106-inch broad jump.
If this was real, I wonder what it would take.

It would have to be a really, really good deal. Multiple picks including a 1rst.

    You aren't getting a 1st rounder, maybe a 2nd.

Then there is no way I do it. I like Williams. I think he is very good and I don't think it's smart to part ways with him.
Now if they offered a second and said they'd take Trumaine? Then you have a legit question.

Take one of their WR or CB and a 2nd then I'm in.

We would be lucky to grab a 1st. I think its more like a 3rd and 5th or something.

    LW has been disappointing IMO.

This or a 1st and I would gladly pay Leo's Uber fare to Philly.

We are in complete rebuild mode if you ask me. LW isn't worth a new contract for us. If we can get a 2nd I would consider us lucky, if we got what I expect we have to consider LW a bust. Regardless, we need to completely rebuild. I would trade anyone who is or will be expensive in the next 2 years. I love what Miami is doing. They are going to murder this draft.

It's last year on his contract. You should get more than a 3rd but a 1st would be pushing it.

People are really going to get shocked when we get a 3rd or less for LW. He has really proven nothing so far.

    Agreed.
    We shouldn't trade him.

If they want a DT, we can offer Nathan Shepard for a mid-round pick.

Not saying I am expecting a 1st. I am saying that that are certain offers that would make trading him a no brainer. What you proposed or a 1st would fall into that category.

Shepard's value is presently a conditional 7th or lower.
