They should trade Eli to Pittsburgh.

Considering they gave up their first, they actually should if the money works.

It doesn't work cap wise unless the Giants eat about $21mil of his $23mil salary.

I'd take Eli if he were released though lol.

I don't think Jones is set up to win or succeed right now, but who knows he might surprise.

Someone brought this up on twitter, and honestly it makes a ton of sense:

Bears should send a 5th for Eli.

Yeah there are a lot of teams Eli would make sense for. What about the Jets? He makes them better immediately but Darnold won't miss the whole season. The Jaguars are another team, especially with Coughlin there, but Foles should return too and Minshew is fun. Steelers maybe, but Rudolph should get the chance and they should be trying to rebuild now (except the trade for Fitzpatrick doesn't really jive with that).

My vote would be the Jets. He stays in NY.

I'm cool with the trade sending a message to the Steelers locker room and culture that the team isn't tanking. That's just me.

I'd take Eli as the backup to Mason though, but he still might be looking over his shoulder if Eli was there vs. the practice squad Hodges we have as the backup. But if Mason goes down, I rather have Eli there vs. Hodges.

Shoulda started the season with him in my opinion. Eli has been done for years and Jones needs the experience. This year will be rough but he’ll gain on field chemistry and the giants can build around him in the draft and free agency of 2020

    Your baby can't do this

[Will Brinson]Dave Gettleman: "We didn't sign Odell to trade him." *immediately trades Odell Beckham* "Maybe we're going to be the Green Bay model, where Rodgers sat for three years." *starts Daniel Jones in Week 3*
    First 4 years:
    Brown - 54 GP, 27 GS, 261 catches (63.3%) for 3,561 yds (8.6 AVG), 15 TD
    Landry - 64 GP, 57 GS, 400 catches (70.2%) for 4,038 yds (10.1 AVG), 22 TD

Huh. Wonder why Landry is getting paid so much...

"Hater" is a term used by weak minded people in the face of legitimate criticism.

Has the Minkah Fitzpatrick trade robbed your ability to recognize what makes sense?

I don't think highly of Trubisky, but no way would Eli be an upgrade.

I think as a backup and insurance policy it makes a little sense

Especially with the seeming fading faith that Nagy (shoutout to Lancaster PA) has in his QB.
