Brewers won 7 in a row going into the Cardinal series. Why can't we. I say sweep and then take 3 of 4 against the Cardinals. Be 1 or 2 up heading into the last 6 games. Seems every other team in the WC/division race has gotten hot at one time since July. Why not the Cubs now. Mets, Cardinals, Brewers. Diamondbacks, hell, even the Giants before the deadline, have all had solid runs. None of those teams is any better than the Cubs. So why not us, and why not now.

Tonightís lineup is about the best one they can throw out there considering what they have. Hopefully Heyward can stay hot the rest of the way cause with Rizzo out they need people to step up.

Lorenzen can definitely handle the bat. Need the offense to stay hot and win this series. Help from the Nationals would be great same with the Padres.

Gausman's ERA is bad, but I'm not about to short-sell him. His peripheral numbers are no joke.

Sure, and Lorenzen isnít a normal relief pitcher playing CF. Cubs need to keep winning regardless.

Gausman is probably going 2-3 innings anyway. He hasnít pitched more than 2 innings since 8/2.
