They are trying to use up cap space before we lose it so looking at deals we can bring forward. I guess Carr would be one of a few who could fall in that category. Itís more about financial budgeting than a way of letting him feel secure in his role. QBs take up a large portion of cap so earlier you pay them cheaper they relatively become. I donít think he should feel that secure unless we are winning a lot more and heís ballin week in week out. Certainly not whilst heís turning it over in red zone that stat is I heard the number 1 most negative game effecting outcome play.

Let us buy a couple of pass rushers and a linebacker or two then.

Giving Carr more money at this point would be like putting a custom paint job on a Yugo...

No-he [Carr] didnít give up 5 tdís to Rodgers but choking in the redzone with turnovers wasted opportunities to stay competitive and maybe steal a possession or two. Carr had his running game today and couldnít even be a system QB.

He had been in the league too long to be making excuses for him.

He shouldnít make the trip to Vegas.

This is exactly the level of play Carr will face should he ever sniff the playoffs.

    Stork nailed this one....

Carr missed two throws in his first possession and then killed it until the fumble

Came back and drove well until the red zone pick

The fumble and the pick are both unacceptable

Two missed dives on the 2 with this line and this back isnít on Carr

Greenbay fist ****ing our defense isnít on Carr

He didnít give them field position or anything along those lines

Defense ****ing sucked dick and Carr had two royal **** ups.

Iíd rate Carrís performance better than the defense today

    Our secondary is terrible
    Our pass rush is terrible
    Our linebackers canít cover

Itís tough to play good team defense these days. Offenses need to compliment them by staying on the field and making the most out of scoring opportunities.

I am not making excuses for the defense but Rodgers is going shred everybody to some degree and if the offense is going start trading punches with a QB like Rodgers they damn well better get it done in the Red Zone.

Captain checkdown choked his *** off today and put a torch to any chance to stay in the game.

I wish I was wrong about Carr-the Raiders have so much time and cap space invested in him.

    He isnít a winner.

Would have been better if some more of those bombs had found their mark...

Derek Carr has 23 fumbles lost since entering the NFL in 2014, the most among any player during that span -- two of them reaching for the pylon.
