NFL weekly schedule, who are we rooting for...

Although it's early in the season, and this thread will become more interesting as the season continues and playoff implications start creeping in... I thought it would be good to see who's playing who every weekend and which teams we should be rooting for.

    CIN (0-2-1) tied PHI (0-2-1)

    TB (2-1) def DEN (0-3)
    NE (2-1) def RAIDERS (2-1)
BUF (3-0) def LAR (2-1) We got the Bills coming in next week, and they're on a streak.
    CLE (2-1) def WAS (1-2)
    TEN (3-0) def MIN (0-3)
    IND (2-1) def NYJ (0-3)
    KC (3-0) def BAL (2-1)

    SF (2-1) def NYG (0-3)
    CHI (3-0 def ATL (0-3)
    DET (1-2) def AZ (2-1)
    SEA (3-0) def DAL (1-2)

So after Cam Newton tested positive for C19, the NFL has rescheduled this game to Tuesday night (as of now.) And we play KC 5 days later in KC. I know that works in our favor... but we're a hobbled team with all the injuries, and probably won't beat them even with their short turn-around... Plus, KC plays Buffalo 4 days later on Thursday night after our game, making it 3 games in 9 nights.

I'm hoping that the NFL pulls the same trick that they did with PIT and TEN. They gave PIT and TEN a bye this weekend and pushed them to week 6. If the NFL pushes the NE @ KC game to the weekend before our 2nd game against KC, when they're supposed to have a bye, hopefully we'll have a healthy squad at that time and that walrus (Andy Reid) won't have 2 weeks to prepare for us (since he's impossible to beat in those circumstances.) Let's see what happens.

Seems like we're facing KC on 2 weeks rest almost every year the last few years. Not sure how that 'coincidentally' happens.

holy crap... I was just rambling on, but looking back at KC's schedule.. wtf.

    2020
BYE on WEEK 10. Week 11 @ Raiders

    2019
BYE on WEEK 12. Week 13 vs. Raiders... won 40-9

    2018
BYE on WEEK 12. Week 13 @ Raiders... won 40-33

    2017
BYE on WEEK 10. Week 11 @ NYG

    2016
BYE on WEEK 5. Week 6 @ Raiders... won 26-10

    2012
BYE on WEEK 8. Week 9 vs Raiders... Raiders won this one, 26-16... this was KC's 2-14 season.

    2011
BYE on WEEK 6. Week 7 @ Raiders... won 28-0

so between 2011 and 2020, we faced KC after their bye week 6 times... that's 6 out of 9 seasons. and every single time they keep repeating that stat that Andy Reid doesn't lose after bye weeks. amazing.

    WEEK 8

    Thursday Night
    ATL (1-6) at CAR (3-4)

    10AM Games
    LV (3-3) at CLE (5-2)
NE (2-5) at BUF (5-2) Hoping that Buffalo will win this game to put more distance between us and NE.
    TEN (5-1) at CIN (1-5-1)
IND (4-2) at DET (3-3) A Detroit win here will help us greatly in our race with Indy.
    MIN (1-5) at GB (5-1)
NYJ (0-7) at KC (6-1) No need to even comment on this game.
LAR (5-2) at MIA (3-3) Hoping that the Rams can put the smack down on Miami, like they did to the Bears.
    PIT (6-0) at BAL (5-1)

    1PM Games
LAC (2-4) at DEN (2-4)... I think it would be better for us for Denver to win this game. We face the Chargers the following week.
    NO (4-2) at CHI (5-2)
    SF (4-3) at SEA (5-1)

    Sunday Night
DAL (2-5) at PHI (2-4-1) The battle for first place in the NFC East.!!!

    Monday Night
    TB (5-2) at NYG (1-6)

In general, we should be cheering for the teams that we've played to win, giving us higher Strength of Schedule, and Strength of Victory.

I really don't worry about other teams until 4 weeks from the end. Right now we need to string a few wins together, otherwise, what the other teams do is meaningless.
