So realized we didn't have an open thread for discussion.
I'll kick off with, would anyone consider trading for Minkah Fitzpatrick. Miami is having a fire sale and DB could be a high priority need next year.

They apparently want a first...
And I’m on board with that.

BUT... Before we do that, I think we should offer a whole draft for Saquon Barkley...
Who’s with me? Lol
Well... that was a joke... but 5 yards per rush behind the Giants o-line and 91 receptions as a rookie? 11 yards per rush in game 1... behind the Giants’ o-line... come on, this is not the “dime a dozen” back in today’s NFL. The dude is special and would be insane in this offense.
This is the best back in the league right now and maybe an all-time great when all is said and done.

In hindsight, though I hate that idea of passing up a big playmaker in the secondary, you’re probably right.
I do think Fitzpatrick is worth the ask of a first, especially in the back half of the first, but a future replacement for Joe should be priority and we’re already down to 5 picks with no 2nd rounder in 2020
I think it becomes a matter of where we think we are picking vs the potential players there. There are two OTs I like who I think are great LTs for us, but could easily be gone when we pick. At that point we could be eyeing a DB, so a 1st for Minkah wouldn't be a bad move as it's more of a known commodity. Only other option could be a WR or I guess an interior OLman depending.
Listened to CBS radio and rubberhands Tiki don’t believe in Niners.
Let em hate
Yeah, I'm not giving up a first for Minkah Fitzpatrick. Even if we aren't in a position to draft an OT with that pick, we can probably get a quality outside CB to succeed Sherman. Minkah is really best utilized as a nickel back or a free safety. I think that we might already have our FS of the future in Moore if he continues to get better.
Andrew Thomas from UGA would be a phenomenal fit IMO, but he could be a top 5 type of prospect. Too early for a draft crush?
