He's the best system fit of those guys with the zone blocking scheme that Iowa runs.

Ok... Jalen Ramsey for a first rounder +...

    1) Do you go for it?
    2) What’s the most you’re willing to offer?
    3) What are you willing to pay the man?

A 1st and future mid pick/a player...I could pull that trigger, although I'm not 100% on if he fits a Cover 3 scheme. Asomugha was an elite cover man who was lost in zone. I'm not well versed in what Jax ran with him.

To pay him and not lose Buck/Kittle, we would have to trim some contracts. McKinnon to start. There would be some roll over and the usual cap increase, but we'd be up against a wall with all those deals coming in soon.

That's why he wants out of Jacksonville in the first place, he doesn't wanna play zone, wants to play man to man.

    I'd go a 1st and nothing more.

Ward, McKinnon, Armstead are all gone after this year, 2 are gone after this year and 1 will be cut. That'll free up money.

And I'm going to be honest here, if JG doesnt play up to his contract, I wouldnt hesitate trading him or cutting him. He misses too many wide open throws, and while hes our best option, hes not 23 million dollars better than Mullens.

I thought it was because he wants to be paid?

49ers, the only team in football that hasn't had a 3 and out yet.

    PPG, 49ers are top 4.

This steeler game worries me, only b/c the niners are heavy favorites and the Steelers are starting a backup QB. It's like an upset special or something. Just gotta play crazy D. I have a feeling their (steeler) mediocre WR's will play better than they have?

I can't imagine the 49ers go 4-0 (but would love it if they did) against the AFC North, but one game I do want is vs Baltimore. For obvious reasons.

I know Lakers... it's too early to post stats... lol.
It's time to start winning right?

    Playoffs and Championship droughts...

SF 49ers - 5 years no playoffs, 24 years no championship
LA Lakers - 6 years no playoffs, 9 years no championship
LA Kings - 1 year no playoffs, 5 years no championship
SF Giants - 2 years no playoffs, 5 years no championship

No, I'm not interested in the trade at all. First, you'll have to give up the draft compensation (likely a 1st plus other picks) plus give him a contract that will make him the highest paid CB in NFL history. That makes extending Buckner and Kittle difficult. I'd rather have Buckner and the draft picks with Witherspoon starting at CB than Jalen Ramsey with letting Buckner walk and giving up the picks.

Having a plethora talent is never a bad thing, but eventually, those guys will have to get paid. Too many of our own players are free agents this or next year, that I wouldn't want them to take on another one like Jalen Ramsey, who may prefer to be the highest paid corner in the league and its not like he doesn't deserve it.

    Notable 2020 Free Agents:
    Kyle Juszczyk
    Arik Armstead
    Ronald Blair
    Nick Mullens
    Matt Breida

    Notable 2021 Free Agents:
    Solomon Thomas
    Deforest Buckner
    George Kittle
    Ahkello Witherspoon
    Richard Sherman

To keep that 2021 class, its going to require lots of dough. Sherman will be 33 years so I'm not sure I would re-sign him.

I see us cutting Dee Ford when it comes down to it. Bosa can take over that position and we extend Thomas or Armstead for cheap
