Much like 2018, Eli Manning's numbers will look solid, but he has played a very bad game. There's no reason for a 16th year QB with pretty good protection to make these mistakes and play so conservatively.

The defense is getting us blown out, regardless. But Eli isn't exactly showing himself to be an asset, either.

Hopefully by the third game Jones will be in.

I refuse to watch anymore games if Eli continues to start.

Eli is gonna clearly get benched soon enough.

But Pat Mahomes couldn’t keep up with the points the Giants D is giving up.

The lack of talent on defense is crazy. I believe Baker will be a good pro but he’s definitely getting his welcoming moment. Olgetree is straight trash

It’s rare I get to see Mets season and Giants season end the same day.

One of those rare and few things that happen one week one of football.

Jones fumbling isn't what we want, but it's the most fixable of all football errors, especially from the QB. If there's ever a time to make a mistake or two, it's the last drive of a blowout game. He's not going to be the starter until at least after the New England game, so getting real-time reps here and there will be good for him, regardless of outcome.

There was a time when Eli was more mobile that he couldn't run forward without fumbling the ball. That was fixed, and Jones' fumbling will be too.

The D looked like the 0-6 Perry Fewell defense in 2013.

We have a bunch of rookies and 2nd 3rd yr players out there ....no vets or leaders. The defense was hard to watch.

I listened to the game on Sirius. Carl Banks was basically laughing because “once again this team just can’t cover a TE down the seam”.

This goes back to Spags last tenure too. Not sure what it is about our D but they give up the middle. Damn shame.

Sounds like the oline is way better but doesn’t matter when you don’t have a playmaker WR anymore to take advantage. So Eli gets to be captain check down.

    This is gonna be bad.

Shurmur is running an 80s style of offense at a time when they should be throwing all over the field.

I’m sure the D will get better just in time to miss Barkley’s prime years.

I thought McAdoo’s playcalling was way too conservative. Shurmur is looking the same. Not sure why the Giants never get a dynamic offensive mind. We get these old school run first guys.

I only caught 3 of our offensive drives (last of the 1st half, the FG and the fumble). I thought Eli looked damn fine in there, so what's the issue, really? Besides, Jones has pretty much been drafted because he fits perfectly the check-down/game manager NFL QB profile. So asking for him to take over Eli's job already, just because he wasn't airing it all over the field last night, is pretty confusing to me.
