“Rejected” an “offer”. No reason to go public with that unless you want to imply that your price is set.

[La Canfora] It was thoughtful of the Bears to open the NFL's 100th season with the same offense they ran 100 years ago. Kudos. Well done.

He's normally a moron, but this is a pretty brilliant tweet. For the dumb, casual football fans, it is just a riff on the Bears O being terrible.

For the educated fan, the Bears actually lined up the first play in the T formation, which was made popular by the Bears.
    First 4 years:
    Brown - 54 GP, 27 GS, 261 catches (63.3%) for 3,561 yds (8.6 AVG), 15 TD
    Landry - 64 GP, 57 GS, 400 catches (70.2%) for 4,038 yds (10.1 AVG), 22 TD

Huh. Wonder why Landry is getting paid so much...

[Nick Wright] "The Bears don't want Mitch Trubisky to have to be Trent Dilfer. They want him to be a franchise QB. ... They called 52 pass plays to 13 run plays. That is not a recipe for Chicago to succeed."

I liked the reminder that the Bears traded up to pass on Watson and Mahomes to get Trubs.

Between the 3 RBs Chicago has, they need to be going run-first offense.

That OL needs a ton of work.

The Dolphins stating offensive line looks like the second column of the depth chart instead of the first (although maybe C Daniel Kilgore and OT Jesse Davis are better than I think, but probably not). Granted that both guards are rookies, but one of them is a third rounder and the other is undrafted. You read that right -- UNDRAFTED! It would be harder for a defense to play against five ghosts than against that O-line.

Kaep would be good in the Jacksonville offense I think too. With Foles obviously they designed a lot of RPO since he excels at that, I imagine Kaep would too.

I agree, though, the rookie looked pretty solid.

He was their only other QB on the roster and they don't (IIRC) have a PS one either.

Colts WR Devin Funchess out indefinitely with broken collarbone.

I actually think this could be a blessing in disguise. I really want to see Deon Cain and Parris Campbell get all the snaps at WR and Funchess being out will help this happen.

Hilton/Cain/Campbell has a ton of potential.

Funchess is garbage and his drops are game killers. You're better off without him.

    CAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAM!
