Also tired of seeing about 500 different lineup combinations a season too. Letís stick to a lineup and let the guys get use to their role and stop with the playing guys multiple positions for several games a year
    This explains so much.

Depends which app you're using. On Tapatalk you click their name, then the little 3 dots in the top right of their profile, click ignore/block.

Offense is looking flat and lifeless again in the last three games. Won't be getting any easier based on the elite starting pitching coming up beginning tomorrow. Gotta find some way to avoid the sweep since our two rivals are taking care of business this weekend.

Might be Happer going back down.

Sure hope it's not Rizzo to IL. Can't lose that bat right now.

Has to be an injury replacement. Canít call a guy back for 10 days unless he is back to replace an injury. Happ is not going down. Hope a pitcher goes in the IL, not Rizzo.

You mean to say that if a ball is right on the outside black that the whole ďBSĒ of protecting ďMIGHTĒ be acceptable in that case? That absolutely blows my mind you would think that.

I totally disagree with you here. You have to accept that the umpires are trash and if you want to blame them rather than approaching a 2 strike count like youíre supposed to, then idk what to tell you. I would rather not allow umpires to beat me. The pitch was a ball but it was still a hitable pitch. They canít set it up there on a tee. Swing. The. Bat. If. Itís. Close. With. Two. Strikes.

However had he swung and missed people would have been all over him for swinging at ball 4. Hell, had he hit a rocker to left that was caught people would have been complaining that he should have taken a walk. Sorry, I respect your views and you are a good poster, but in this case I disagree with you. Happ took a pitch that was clearly a ball and the umpire blew the call. That is not on Happ.

There are Cubs fans who worship Shawon Dunston. A number one overall pick. Take a look at his numbers some time.
I donít know what the average career span of a top 10 pick. Is there any way to find this info?
Today, I don't think that Shawon would be the over all first pick with the scouting knowledge we have now.

Using his career WAR, he turned out to be somewhere between a "scrub" and a "role player."

    He was just another bust

    Nice post, rcal

The sooner we get the automated strike zone, the better. It could just be the homer in me, but I think our hitters get rung up a lot on pitches off the plate. They have some swing an miss in them, but for the most part, they have very good eyes up there.

It will help Willy behind the plate also.

They're going up against strasburg today without Rizzo (most likely) and Baez (scheduled day off, unless something changes?), while throwing the 3rd straight lefty against a team that crushes lefties. What could possibly go wrong?

Hopefully it's Strop that's "injured". It's ridiculous to have a 9 men pen.
