I'm not worried about the Phils and Brewers... especially the Brewers.

In fact, I'm rooting for the Brewers to get their act together because we will need them to win some games against the Cards and Cubs.

They're gonna have to beat the Nats head on and continue to play above .600 ball the rest of the way. It's tough but it is doable with what we are seeing.

This team will probably have to win 88-90 games to get the WC. They are capable of that feat.

    Don't worry. He's got this.

They just canít afford any weeks where they lose 4/5.

No they donít have that luxury.

They have to play .600+ ball the rest of the way. But if they do, they can hit 90 wins and that should get them into the postseason.

If they have such a werk then they woukdnt deserve the post season anyway. But no worries. This team is going to the toppermost of the poppermost!

This season was supposed to be irrelevant by mid July. Then we would start fishing for silver linings and by next spring we would start convincing ourselves that this is an 85 win team again... and the cycle continues.

This team has broken the cycle and it's shocking.
It doesn't really matter how it happens. It's just a matter of whether it does or not. I don't think anyone expected them to win 87 games in 2016 when they were 60-62 in August but sometimes teams close well and it looks like this is a second half team. Guys like Rosario, Conforto, Syndergaard, etc have turned it on after underwhelming first halves.

Its not really that shocking. They weren't the second worst team in the NL when they were back in June. They just weren't playing up to their talent level and they had some bad breaks. A lot of which they created, some of which happens during the course of a long season. That said, this isn't that surprising to me.

They have a solid lineup, an excellent rotation, and the bullpen has stepped up.
