I've got no idea where that idea comes from, or think it's remotely true, but honestly he should be about himself. I don't see why he owes the Cubs or the fans anything. The Cubs made a business decision to keep him down at the beginning of 2015 and gain an extra year of control. Kris Bryant is probably going to make a business decision to test FA. Both of these things are ok. It's pretty silly to call him selfish because he wants to maximize his value at his first opportunity after 7 years with this franchise.
