Quite a few great defensive players are poor offensively, and vice versa. All good players are not good both ways, we have a lot of offensive players with poor to average defense. Dunn is a GREAT defender, at least now, he's still young, he'll get better offensively, but we have NO other lock-down defenders. I know offense is more exciting, but defense is sooo important too. Looks like he's shooting 42% on the season, with poor 3pt shooting, if this team didn't discourage mid-range shots, his overall FG% would be higher. He's the only player on the team that's tops in the league in ANY defensive category.

Mikal bridges would be our lockdown. Dunn type players are easy to find.

Guys that are near the tops in the leagues in steals and are guarding players from PG to PF are easy to find? 42%, eFG 46.1 from the field is not HORRIBLE for a PG, not great but not nearly sub 30's lmao! By contrast, Marcus Smart, a player he's very similar to, is shooting 37%, eFG 46.8% and is a valuable piece on a top team. They're basically the same age, literally born the same month.

If we weren't missing so much of our offense this season, Carter, Porter all season, Lauri for awhile, not playing Valentine, Dunn's offense wouldn't be a problem.

Heís committed about 500 fireable offenses since last season, so if nothing happened then, nothing is gonna happen now. They wonít fire a coach mid-season for the second year in a row.

This FO definitely wonít, but it would be the smarter decision if they did can Boylen. I just donít understand how the FO canít be embarrassed by what they have at head coach and representing this franchise? As far as Lauri goes, he might just not be mentally strong enough to be more than what he is. He was a 19/10 guy with basically great range from distance. Seemed to be moving up and on his way coming into the year, but maybe this was like some sort of psy-op by the Bulls brass to put the worst coach imaginable in charge to develop these young players to see which of the young players could survive wave after wave, after wave of excruciatingly painful coaching decisions.

thybulle, Jerami Grant, Craig, Bradley, Prince, Rondae Hollis Jefferson, Mo harkless, Aminu, MKG, Beverly, PJ tucker, Ariza, Crowder, Iggy, Dejontay Murray, Justise Winslow, Covington, Oneale, finney smith, and im sure there are more guys but that's off the top of my head. I just named 19 people without even looking lol. They are definitely easy to come by.

Opponents at least have to close out on Smart. With Dunn they stand at the free throw line and laugh when he shoots.

Zach Lavine is putting up top 5 fantasy numbers over the last 2 weeks and top 10 over the last month. If we could just get a respectable FO in place, and a competent coach, someone might actually want to come play with Zach.

I can only dream of a 2 way legit SF paired with Lavine's elite scoring ability.

The top 3 in the league were all FAs last summer. Obviously we were in no position to lure any of them due to the incompetent FO that we have in place.

A lot of those guys mentioned are more valuable than Dunn, because they can defend more positions. A defensive specialist 3 could guard close to 4 positions. At best, Dunn can guard the 1,2, and bad 3's.

Most of those guys are NBA starters or have been, most have lengthy NBA careers, and at least half of them shoot as bad as Dunn. Dunn has guarded 4's this year, especially on switches and some pretty good SF's too. Way he's playing defense this year, only ones on that list as good on D are Iggy, Beverly, Murray. There's a difference between good and great defender, he's been great this year, and that's always helpful. There's a place for defensive specialist, reason all those guys have been around so long, many of them started on contending teams. This team has literally one great on-ball defender, let's trade him!

Thybulle 38%, Grant 37%, Crowder 29%, Tucker 37%, Prince 35%, Bradley 29% but is 46% Fg, Craig 23%, Murray 35%, Covington 35%, Finney smith 38%, Rondae hollis Jefferson 15% but shoot 48% Fg, Ariza 35%, Royce oneale 43%, Beverly 34%, MKG 29%, Iggy( we know he hits big time 3s), Aminu 25%, Harkless 33%.

There goes your theory that half of them shoot as bad as dunn. Dunn(26%) is shooting as bad as MKG. Let that sink in.

Also im tired of people saying dunn is an elite defender, its false. He is a very good defender that relies on reaching and jumping lanes. He is a good defender but you are over rating him. reminds me of when people try to say Iverson was elite on the defensive end for the same reasons.

So yes, Dunn is easily replaceable. You are probably the only person that doesn't think he is. Well besides Kris dunn himself.
