They had a plan. They just couldnít land a franchise changer in the draft. LaVine and Lauri arenít those guys and Boylen is the worst HC in the league. They had a plan though.

I think the best play is to be in the lotto every year until they get lucky. Theyíre not getting that guy in fee agency/trade. Sure, the odds have flattened, but you have to be in it to win it.

GarPax thought theyíd have top 3 picks the last 2 years after tanking post-Butler. Iím sure they didnít anticipate falling in the lottery to the 7th pick 2 straight years, but if any FO deserved that, itís them. So in a way Iím glad.

LaVine has been awesome recently. Love to see him with a legitimate coach and another guy who can create.

They are wasting his potential right now. The dude can score at will. They should be making every effort to pair him with another star right now.

Nope. They have to wait for Lauri to develop lol...the obsession the FO has with their mediocre draft picks is absurd. Iíd be shopping everyone not named LaVine. Iíd like to keep gafford too.

This is already his best season of his career if you buy into BPM at all. My biggest issue with him was always his play defensively, but he's close to being average on that end, this season, according to DBPM. His efficiency was a bit better last year, but not by much. Taking and making more 3's has made the difference negligible.

I'm betting this FO already believes they have that 2nd star on the roster already though. I sincerely hope they're fired and whoever takes over throws everything they can at AD, even though he probably isn't leaving LA. He's still a FA, so you gotta take that swing.

But yeah, they likely have an ascending player, the first they've had since Butler and won't do anything to build around him. That'll be frustrating, as usual.

Is that why Jimmy isnít here too? Lol....I donít even think he averages a 3 per game. I love analytics and all that, but you donít eliminate the mid range shot all together. Thatís stupid.

If only we had a number one guy on this team. He may be in the top 5 #2 guys in the league depending on who you paired him with. Got me thinking about him and Jimmy Butler playing together wouldíve been good. I believe we couldíve sold JB on a return. if we didnít make that trade for Otto and just let Jabari and Bobby walk then we couldíve added JB. I believe our team wouldíve been way better than what he has in Miami.
