I used to put crazy torque on my knee playing football. Everyone said it wasnít natural and it would cost me at some point. Iím pretty short 5í4Ē give or take, and when Iím at 168 or below my knees can handle just about anything. When I was 26 I ballooned up to 178, and I could feel it in my knees just on a day to day basis. I did a hard jump cut at that weight and my knee exploded. Complete ACL year, partial LCL tear, Meniscus Tear. From 1 jump cut, with no contact. Did that same move a 1000s of times in my life. Upon returning I was in the mid to upper 170s and my knee didnít feel the greatest. I went on a big time diet and workout kick and got down to 150. It was night and day. I felt nothing in my knee, had all my burst back, and wasn't nervous Putting pressure on that knee to juke.

I think Zion needs to look in the mirror, and decide how long of an elite career he wants. He needs to drop at least 20 pounds. Iíd say 230-240 would be good for his knees.
Ya 270 for a 19yr old is just ridiculous, I donít care how much of it is muscle. If he was a linebacker heíd be an absolute monster and perfect for the NFL, but the human joints just arenít made to sustain that kind of weight for a basketball player whoís gonna jump and cut for 82+ games over the course of 6 months.

He needs to get down to Lebron weight when he came into the league. He was a 6í8 240 bullet train and heís maintained that for 17 seasons now. Even if he can drop to 250 like you said, that would be huge for his career.

No way he could get down to 230. His frame is just too big. I like him at 245-250.

Frame is huge. I'm 6'2'', if I weighed under 230 -235ish I'd look way too underweight. Just because of a wide frame

I agree 250ish is probably perfect for him

Yeah he should definitely shed weight but 230 is just too crazy.

If heís having meniscus issues already, his knees wonít hold up long term.

That Clippers team is going to be nasty all year, if they can stay healthy. Kawhi is so good.

Only one game, but I'd be a little concerned if I were the Lakers. Their roster after AD & LeBron is pretty bad. They'll still win a ton of games because of them, but I can't see how that roster gets to the Finals.
