I disagree. The talent is there, like Wentz, he just needs to stay healthy, like Wentz.

How'd that work out for the Steelers?
    First 4 years:
    Brown - 54 GP, 27 GS, 261 catches (63.3%) for 3,561 yds (8.6 AVG), 15 TD
    Landry - 64 GP, 57 GS, 400 catches (70.2%) for 4,038 yds (10.1 AVG), 22 TD

Huh. Wonder why Landry is getting paid so much...

    Touche.

I always felt Steelers and most teams do best when you have a top defense and steady QB play in the playoffs.

you're saying Marcus Mariota was never that good, not even in college? firstly, just him committing to the Ducks caused Manziel to bail and go to A&M....secondly, he led one of the most feared and productive offenses in college history
    gotta love 'referential' treatment

how is that funny? hes achieved nothing, showed no signs of elite ability. he was a product of Chips crazy fast paced offense at Oregon throwing to wide open guys who could take it to the house.

    see my above post.

Maziel is terrible so how does that make MM look any better? Johnny had the life at AM, just run around like a maniac and when it doubt toss it up for Evans to go get over everyone.

Sure, but without looking I don't think the Steelers often spent huge money on the D, because they were so heavy on QB/RB/WR/OL on offense. I'm sure they had a couple high paid guys, but seems Dallas is following the same model.

Dak Prescott Seeking 40 Million Per Year

Holy balls.. Marcus Mariota seems to be more overrated than I thought.. I thought he'd be good in the NFL but he's been average at best and he's always injured

    Your baby can't do this

Mariota has won a playoff game, which is more than guys like Cousins or Stafford can claim.

(Of course wins aren't a QB stat but that 2017 Titans team wasn't exactly high caliber.)

you said he'd never been good...and I simply pointed out that he (and Manziel) were certainly good in college....you can say it was the offenses they were in, but neither of those offenses ever worked so well as when they were the QBs running them

Mariota as a pro has never had a great set of skill players around him...so while I'd agree he's had too many injiries, it's still hard to tag him as a mediocre NFL QB just yet
