    (59-51) Red Sox @ Yankees (68-39)

Game 1: Friday August 2nd at 7:05 PM

    Eduardo Rodriguez (12-4) – (4.13 ERA)
The lefty is 8-1 with a 3.03 ERA in his past 11 starts. Rodriguez held the Yankees to three runs in 5 2/3 innings in a win last weekend. He is 2-3 with a 3.74 ERA lifetime at Yankee Stadium
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    James Paxton (5-6) – ( 4.72 ERA)

Paxton will see the Red Sox again after compiling a bizarre line in his last outing, becoming the first Yankee to permit at least seven runs in four or fewer innings while also walking none and striking out at least nine.

Game 2: Saturday August 3rd (Double Header) at 1:05 PM

    Brian Johnson (1-1) – (6.43 ERA)

    No Stats
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Domingo German (13-2) – (4.08 ERA)

German "was on a mission" in his last outing, according to catcher Austin Romine, as he halted the Yanks' slide by limiting the Red Sox to three runs in 5 1/3 innings at Fenway Park. German tied his season high with nine strikeouts.

Game 3: Saturday August 3rd at 7:05 PM

    Chris Sale (5-10) - (4.26 ERA)

Chris Sale struggled in a losing effort against the Yankees on Sunday night, surrendering six runs on five hits over his 5 1/3 innings of work.

The left-hander punched out seven on the evening while issuing three walks. It was really the walks that did him in, as each of the three free passes wound up coming around to score. He also gave up a pair of two-run homers -- to Austin Romine in the third inning and Didi Gregorius in the fourth. Now an astounding 5-10 on the season, Sale will carry a 4.26 ERA and 1.10 WHIP into a rematch against the Yankees in New York on Saturday.

    Chad Green (2-3) – (5.06 ERA)

    No Stats

Game 4: Sunday August 4th at 7:05 PM

    David Price (7-4) – (3.86 ERA)

David Price allowed four runs on nine hits over 4 1/3 innings in a no-decision Tuesday against the Rays.

On paper, the matchup between Price and Rays starter Charlie Morton was a pitchers' duel, but in actuality neither starter made it out of the fifth inning. For Price, it was extra-base hits that did him in -- a one-out double and a two-out triple in the third inning scored a run, and the Rays got solo homers from Travis d'Arnaud and Avisail Garcia in the fifth before Price exited, with a fourth run scoring after he was replaced. The start was the second time in his last three outings that the 33-year-old has failed to go at least five innings, inflating his ERA to 3.86 with a 1.25 WHIP and 123/29 K/BB ratio in 102 2/3 innings to date. Things don't get any easier for the southpaw on Sunday when the Sox and Yankees meet up for a Sunday Night Baseball tilt.

What’s that now 4 losses in a row? After a week dominating the Yankees and yet some here still think
    this team is WS contender.

Any team in the playoff hunt is a WS contender. This isn’t like the NBA where the bottom seeds have no chance.

Well the red Sox are not in the playoff hunt anymore. This season needs to just end for them. Dombrowski sacrificed the future state of this team for a world series which I guess most would say is worth it but now they're screwed pitching wise for the foreseeable future.

LOL good enough don’t want to try and get help in the bullpen then you deserve to get swept twice. I pray the next remaining teams these bums play against sweep them.

As someone who has an extensive background in psychology I highly recommend that you see a professional. You're supposedly a fan of the Red Sox yet your attitude towards them is nothing but negative, you act the same way towards the Patriots. It's blatant sadistic behavior which is found in many people who "snap". For the safety of those around you, go get the help you obviously need.

You're not a real fan, period.
