After Bud's ex-assistant coach Taylor Jenkins was hired by the Grizzlies as to be their new head coach, there was a vacancy in the Bucks coaching crew, in which Jon Horst decided to sign Chad Forcier as to be coach Bud's assistant...

Forcier, 46, worked for George Karl and the Seattle SuperSonics for five years in the 1990s and has spent the past 18 seasons as an NBA assistant coach.

He has strong ties to Bucks head coach Mike Budenholzer. The two worked worked together as assistant coaches in San Antonio from 2007 until 2013, when Budenholzer left to take the head job with the Atlanta Hawks. Forcier stayed in San Antonio until 2016, including working on the staff of the 2014 NBA champion Spurs.

In addition to working in San Antonio and Memphis, Forcier has had assistant-coaching stints in Detroit (2001-03), Indiana (2003-07) and Orlando (2016-18).
