    Hi Wes,

Knicks here. We’d love to have you back for good this time and are glad both teams have rescinded. We will be making an offer very soon.

    Hi again Wes,

We are back and officially have opened up enough space to offer you our full MLE. What do you say?

    Come to NY.

    Hey Wes,

Pelicans here. We love what you bring to the table, and think you’re the perfect fit on a LeBron James team. 9,200,000 in year one with max raises for four years.

So basically the same thing the Knicks offered over 24 hours ago? Not to mention, you’ll see significant playing time in NY as a starting wing... Can’t say the same for NO who already has Harris, Hield, LeBron, J-Rich and who knows who else at the wings.

As it stands, he prefers the opportunity to play more in New York. Any pitches to help him decide?

    Hi Wes,

We have a clear need of a wing player with your specific skillset on our team. We envision you getting significant playing time at the 2/3 and providing veteran leadership on a relatively young squad. We believe you fit our team like a glove due to the fact that you can space the floor and are a solid defender. We acquired you last year and we worked out a buyout in good faith so that you could join a contender. This year, we plan on contending ourselves and that is why we want you back. Come back to New York, help us build a winner here.

Pelicans obviously weren't that interested. Signs with the Knicks.
