Was always a DC guy growing up. I like Batman the best. I think for animated shows and movies, DC crushes Marvel (though obviously Marvel crushes DC in live action).

DC for sure. As a kid I loved Batman. As an adult Martian Manhunter is my guy. The animated movies are so good. The comics speak for themselves. They just totally screwed up the live action movies. Their heroes are better and more iconic and they have the best, most iconic, most recognizable villains.

Heath ledger was legitimately ****in phenomenal. I think he took on the Joker aura from "the killing joke" comic.

Movie wise batman is probably the best, I saw suicide squad tho that was pretty stupid.
    RAIDERS, SHARKS, WARRIORS

I have two Batman tattoos but its always Marvel. The DC universe is rather boring after the Justice League, Death Stroke and Swamp Thing.

DC. Arrow is easily my favorite out of any of them. I like the Flash too.
Marvel is cool too though. I like them both.

Yes, absolutely. I should clarify that I'm really talking about the DCEU when I say that they're screwing it up.

Marvel for me, although Batman is my all-time favorite. Batman and Iron Man. They never needed super powers.

As a kid, I collected Marvel comics and trading cards. All of the kids in the neighborhood did. There were actual Marvel comic shops back then, not sure if anyone else remembers that. Any time we were out we’d beg mom to take us to the Marvel store. I was the envy of the neighborhood when I bought a Living Tribunal card. Everybody offered me trades for it. Thanos was another one that everybody wanted.

Aside from Batman and Iron Man, I always liked Adam Warlock.

There’s a series of Back to the Future comics that I would love to read, just haven’t had the time to track them all down. I am a super nerd for Back to the Future and The Karate Kid. My two favorite movies.

I only ever read spiderman growing up. true story, i would ditch school to chill at the library and just read, not just comics but they would have their place. my friends used to mock me, saying i couldn't even ditch school properly but they knew i was mr clutch when i would drive them around.

outside of that fringe experience, the best shows were usually DC's. i forget what show it was but when the batman and superman shows would crossover, it was the best. that spiderman cartoon from the 90's had some epic crossovers (wolverine, fantastic 4) but they were limited. the secret wars were awesome tho, prolly the best cartoon stretch ever.

the movies kind of suck tbh, the marvel formula is well documented and theyre becoming kind of annoying with their wokeness but its not yet to star wars level so i enjoy some of them. i enjoy the continuity more than anything tho.

Yeah definitely. We have two in my city (over 100,000 people), but not one sports card store. That is the real travesty here.

    Aside from Spider-Man I can’t stand Marvel!!

As a 90’s baby, i grew up watching DC- For me, nothing will ever compare to Christopher Reeves’ Superman or Michael Keaten’s Batman movies. Imo, those will always be the gold standard of superhero films.

I also really enjoyed the first couple of season’s of ‘Arrow’ and ‘The Flash’ on the CW.
