Tyler O'Neill again appears to be the only person hitting tonight.

Not sure why the D'Backs thread was closed, but Farty, to respond to your last comment.

your coors argument went out the window when you tried it with dj and were dead wrong.
He started off hot for the first half of the season (has been bad since the first of July btw). He's had a good season before. He had a good 2016 as well. But he's been mediocre the rest of his career. He's gonna need to be great more than 300 PA's, and even then, he can have a great season, and have a bad career. That does happen. He's also still in another hitters park.

can we talk about the offense that scores 4.5 runs per game and their amazing performance vs one of the worse bullpens in baseball or is that "hating"?

    July stats - DJ - .225/.262/.275 - 41 wRC+
    July stats - Goldie - .314/.400./657 - 171 wRC+

That's the extent of the level of critical thinking you typically give us.

Btw. As mad as you guys get at Matt Carpenter

    This season
    MC - .215/.321/.372 - 86 wRC+
    Tommy Edman - .238/.262/.460 - 83 wRC+
    Yairo Munoz - .295/.316/.368 - 81 wRC+

His backups aren't any better, so why the calls for him to sit? There aren't better options behind him. At least Carpenter has the history to support a resurgence.

What does the pay have to do with who starts?

Should we start Fowler over Martinez because of his pay? Production is production

    .321 OBP means a **** ton more than a .215 batting average.

Not all .215 batting averages are equal.
