More Tyler O'Neill and very little from his supporting cast.

Squeaked that win out. Good to see another Goldie HR.

Got an 8 game road stretch against the Reds and Pirates. Need to start winning games before we come back home against the Astros and Cubs.

That's the extent of the level of critical thinking you typically give us.

Btw. As mad as you guys get at Matt Carpenter

    This season
    MC - .215/.321/.372 - 86 wRC+
    Tommy Edman - .238/.262/.460 - 83 wRC+
    Yairo Munoz - .295/.316/.368 - 81 wRC+

His backups aren't any better, so why the calls for him to sit? There aren't better options behind him. At least Carpenter has the history to support a resurgence.
none of this **** matters. what do you not understand. the only thing that matters is results and who is getting it done. stats on paper mean absolutely NOTHING. carp isnt getting done as a leadoff hitter, carp isnt getting it done as a slugger, period. the fact that you have to find **** on others than what your eyes tell you says all we need to know about your thinking. you over think everything, aka a mental midget.

remember this past winter when you told me a guy who had his last thee seasons of obp at an average of over .350 wasnt a guy who gets on base and not a top of the order type in jean segura. now you are on here pimping a 321 OBP for a .215 hitter and you want to accuse others of not thinking or being dumb. historic case of irony.

ive pegged you as a useless fan boy and im right. the fact that anyone other than you is right drives you insane which is why you go to the ends of the earth to change the bar for your argument ala a lefty but youre a "conservative". your arguments and their base change all the time in effort so you can be correct, thats it. that is the extent of your "critical thinking".

ill take jean segura and his .271/.315/.435/.751 with 10 HR, 41 rbi, 21 doubles, 3 triples over matt carpenter and his .215/.321/.372/.692 10 HR, 29 RBI, 12 doubles and 2 triples all ****ing day. outside of .06 on base points segura is wiping the floor with carpenter.

ill give you before you try to claim it as being "smarter" that i said replace wong with segura even if it meant moving PD to second. still outside of defense segura is still far better at hitting than wong. ....but wong has a .329 obp so hes clearly better....thats .14 obp points!!!!!!!

and lastly rapjuicer didnt say to play carpenter because hes paid million, you interjected that. you knew what he was saying with "one makes millions". if you think the person making more money than almost everyone on the entire roster isnt held to a higher standard....you have no idea how sports and society works.

if anything your defending of him, your scorched earth efforts say its okay to be bad at sports, demand millions of dollars and play as ****** as the players you being paid to be superior than. youre arguing **** hairs at best with your paper stats.

No. Im.not saying okay Carp because he gets paid more. I'm saying he is expected to play better than the **** output he is putting out there. He got extended and paid millions to produce. But hes not.

.321 is not good for a leadoff hitter who cant hit. And it means nothing if he walks an no one behind him can drive his slow *** in.
