I agree. But that's the max he can sign right? Same as Jamal Murray just signed, possibly could get more depending on when the deal gets negotiated.

Pascal I know is gonna want a max contract but will Masai give him the max? Only way to do that is if Pascal goes beast and has a Giannis type improvement

Sia had over 3 assists a game and i don't believe he was asked to handle the ball as much as green. BTW green was passing to 3 of the best shooters EVER! Pretty sure its not difficult for a pro bball player to avg assists on that team. I'll give green defense though.

Not the mention Sia (far as i know) isn't near the headcase piece of crap green is.

I would not give him the max based off of one season. No way.

    you're delusional.

one of the many reasons the warriors have been so successful is because green is a top end playmaker. it's foolish to think otherwise or that siakim is even close to as good in that regard

Green is def their best passer mainly because he's not asked to score. Top end playmaker? i don't see that. I would have to see it this season minus klay and Durant. Once again he benefited from great shooters around him.

I think there is very little question he'll get the 5/170 max extension.

Masai is good with his guys. I think he'll get 25m/year.

If so I would be stunned. As I said previously, if we use Murray as the Base, then I feel Siakam will want near max money, especially with the award.

Might be interesting to see if we will (now) see the effect of the Demar trade... Of course you make the trade 100 times out of 100, but the way Masai allegedly went about it was a little seedy. Demar also didn't resign for the full max, when he probably could've gotten it at the time from Toronto or another team that was interested. Do some players now ensure that they don't get completely messed and ensure they get as much money as possible?

I mean, I can understand players going for maximum value either way, but I wonder if that inside edge Masai seemed (seems) to have with his guys, stops at the negotiation table now.

I'm wondering same thing about Green. We know hes a good 3rd or 4th guy when not asked to score. I'm wondering what happens when he has to be the #2. I love Russell but he can be inconsistent and shoots for low percentages.

Bojan bogdanovic signed for $18.25 mill per year. He's 30 and averaged 18/4/2. Siakam is 24 and averaged 17/7/3 and dominated Bojan in win shares, PER and defensive stats. No chance he only gets $20 mill.
