DeMarcus Cousins, C -- SIGNS WITH BOSTON

Make no mistake about it: Boogie wants big money. He proved he could be a good teammate and learn by signing cheaply with Golden State last year, but now hes ready to be a feature scorer and franchise cornerstone again. He has love for AD as a person, but he did not think having two star scoring bigs worked out very well for either of them.

Boogie wants to be the featured post player, but he will play with a star guard or wing in the right situation. Above all, teams better be ready to offer him a max contract, or hes willing to wait around for a long time to find the right situation.

    Hello Mr. Cousins,

GM of the Boston Celtics here. We are ecstatic that a player of your caliber is still available.

Right off the bat, we are putting all our cards on the table. We would like to offer you a 4 year maximum deal to start for Boston:

    19: $32,700,000
    20: $34,335,000
    21: $35,970,000
    22: $37,605,000

    Total: $140,610,000

We believe that you are the perfect fit for our team, and that we are also the perfect fit for you.

With you on our squad, our lineup would look like this:

    PG: Mike Conley
    SG: Kent Bazemore
    SF: Jae Crowder
    PF: Danilo Gallinari
    C: Demarcus Cousins

We have a star PG in Conley, who loves to share the ball. We have a great jump shooter in Gallinari, and some good 3 and D wings in Bazemore and Crowder.

What we don't have is someone who can consistently score in the post, and that's where you come in. On this team you would be the primary (and pretty much only) option for offense in the post. We want our offense to look like that 2009 Magic team that went all the way to the finals: one dominant big man (for them, Dwight Howard; for us, you) surrounded by 3 and D wings.

We would be happy to answer any questions you have, and we look forward to hearing from you! Thank you, Mr. Cousins.

Boogie isn't going to wait around long with this offer on the table. Other teams have maybe 24 hours to get involved, or he's signing with the Celtics. He's ready to pour in the buckets and prove everybody wrong.

    Hello Mr. Cousins,

We are glad to hear that you are interested in joining our squad as our star big man!

Not to rush you, but the sooner you sign, the faster we can go about improving the rest of the team - in keeping with our 2009 Magic theme we would love to go after JJ Redick to provide even more spacing for you but we can't start building that squad until we have you as our centerpiece.

    Thanks for your time,
    -Celtics FO

Boogie has waited long enough. He'll sign with Boston.
