    2020 Giants wish list

Looking forward to this offseason, what or who do you hope Zaidi comes out with? Any specific positions or players you want to see the Giants target? Any potential trade targets?

Top free agents (all ages are for 2020 Opening Day):

    SP Gerrit Cole - 29
    3B Anthony Rendon - 29
OF/DH JD Martinez - 32 (has an opt out after this season)
    SP Justin Verlander - 38
    3B Josh Donaldson - 34
    SP Madison Bumgarner - 30
    SS Didi Gregorius - 30
    SP Zack Wheeler - 30
    OF Marcell Ozuna - 29
    SP Rick Porcello - 31
    2B Scooter Gennett - 29
    OF Yasiel Puig - 29
    2B/SS Jonathan Schoop - 28
    OF Nicolas Castellanos - 28

Obviously the outfield needs to be addressed. I hope their top two targets are Rendon and Ozuna. But having Longoria tied up for three more years at $49.51M likely puts them out of the Rendon race.

Depending on how Panik fares the rest of the season, I'd also like them to target Gennett or Schoop. Or if Didi is willing to play second, I'd like him as well, but I'd imagine that's unlikely.

Mikolas is signed with STL through '23. Ozuna seems like the only guy on that list that makes some sense. Dude has been pretty inconsistent though so I don't know how comfortable I'd be handing him the long term contract he'll likely require.

They need to commit to moving the fences before the end of the season so the team is more FA friendly

Just move the fences in and buy out Longoria. He's never going to come close to living up to that contract so be bad another season and absorb his contract and see if you can't get lucky with some buy low guys or look better with the fences moved in.

At this point the giants need SS, 2b, 3b, outfielders and pitching. Put the list on a dart board and throw the dart, wherever it lands just go with that.

Yeah I'd be surprised to see us handing out any big contracts with how many holes we have, 2020 should just continue the tank.

Id like to see Jonathan Schoop at 2b and Avasail Garcia in a corner outfield spot. Both are fairly young still and having good seasons. If we could get rid of Longoria and sign Rendon in addition to that, Id be very happy and that would make this team significantly better.

I'm cool with not signing anyone over 27 to any contract of any significance. Need to draft well and develop for a few more seasons.

    Look at the Dodgers roster.
    Cody Bellinger
    Alex Verdugo
    Cory Seager
    Walker Buehler

    Look at the Giants roster.
    Yep
