Did David Stern rig the 1985 draft lottery?

What do you think? Lots of conspiracy theories about David Stern rigging the draft lottery so the Knicks would land #1 and draft Patrick Ewing. Discuss.

    Davis to New Orleans

    Rose to Chicago

    Cleveland 3 #1’s in 4 years

Mutombo knew sixers had the first pick before the NBA did.

We'll know tonight. If the Knicks get the #1 pick and the rights to draft Zion, we'll know history has repeated itself.

    Not really, they’re the favorites.

Larger chance of falling to 5 than keeping 1. 1-2-3 all have a 14% chance. So co-'favorites' at best.

Yea co-favorites, still doesn’t prove it’s rigged if they get it imo. They’re tied for the highest odds, someone has to get it. The lottery will probably be boring as it has been lately anyways.

of course he did. Draft lottery was behind closed doors, NYC is NYC, etc.

Pretty impossible to do it nowadays though.

If you want the ultimate, you've got to be willing to pay the ultimate price. It's not tragic to die doing what you love.

3 teams are the favorites. They have an 86% chance of not getting it.

If that can be said about the top 3 teams then just give it to the Heat who badly need someone to pass the torch to lol. That simple.

The Knicks and Lakers are going to be elite next year anyways, or at least it’s sounding that way with free agency rumors. Would be good to add the heat to the mix and continue to increase the parity around the league

#1 pick doesn't always turn out to be the best player, but whoever gets it has to take Zion
