If I was to guess, I'd say because of unfamiliarity. Both Goeddel and Robles pitched REALLY well when they first came up. Then they struggled when people adapted and learned how to hit against them. They both went to a new league with guys who are not used to facing them
Relievers are volatile. Small sample size like Dug said and Goeddel was finding some luck. It happens. I would be surprised if Robles was on the Angel's major league roster the whole season. He has stretches where he looks very good, then gets completely blown up after that.
That type of spoiled ******** is why I could never be a Yankee fan. They should be happy they get to face the Blue Jays and Orioles 38 times. They'll probably win 30 of those games but that's not enough.
Its absolutely ridiculous. Show some humility. The Orioles are still a major league team that will win 55-60 games. The Yankees aren't going to beat them every time they play. They would **** themselves if they had to play in this division because they wouldn't get multiple pushovers in the NL East like they have in the AL East.
