If our 1-5 hitters are all going to sport near .400 OBP, we are going to score a lot of runs this year! Were going to chase a lot of starters early..... and we will hit in a lot of friendly counts!!!!!

I agree. ESPN had a stat tonight that said the Braves lead the league in first inning runs. The Braves have also looked good against some really good pitchers lately. Marquez has been dominate since the end of last year and the Braves touched him up. Its not often DeGrom only goes 5 and gives up a couple homers. I couldnt be happier with how our offense looks.

Now that Fonaldson has it going.... its tough to get through.....
    Albies
    Donaldson
    Freeman
    Markakis
    Swanson

All have had big hits and big games early this season. Question marks surround if Albies, Swanson, and Markakis can keep it up, but with each being able to get a least one day off a week, that should certainly help! Donaldson is all about health! And while Im still not on the wagon of him hitting in the two hole, he has looked good this weekend in that spot.

Sadly I don't think he will be around much more, for sure think he ends up on the IL at the least for something. Guys are just crushing him and are not fooled at all when he pitches. Grant Dayton is a lefty we picked off waivers in 2017 when he had to have Tommy John. Not sure how many more innings he needs to be ready but hasn't given up a run in 6IP no walks and 6Ks in spring and AAA so far.

Will Smith would be a good lefty addition. Rental, late inning experience, on a bad team. He should be available via trade this summer.

    Braves
The #Braves today placed LHP Jonny Venters on the 10-day injured list with a right calf strain. A corresponding move will be made tomorrow.
    Yup saw that coming.

Id like to see Corbin Clouse get a shot but well have to move someone off the 40 man to give him a shot. Maybe ODay will be moved to the 60 day DL.

He's been roughed up to start the season in AAA, has allowed 4 walks and 2 HR (4 runs) in 7IP. I really think it will be Dayton possible I guess Webb as well as we do have two lefties in the pen already. Although Biddle is much better vs RHB than LHB.

I was going to say Dayton first but he was placed on the DL on the 13th. Options are thin right now.
