More good news. Last 28 days entering tonight Ender is slashing .270/.395/.492/.887 with 3 homers and 4 steals. He has a double and an RBI tonight. Heís proving again heís a 2nd half hitter. Really needed him to step up with the injuries and struggles the bottom of the order has dealt with. Hopefully this continues.

Seems 2nd half Ender is in full force and I love it.

Since the break he is hitting .270/.395/.492/.887 with 12BB/10K

Shane Greene struggling AGAIN. What is happening with him. Hearing the Ian Kennedy news is making this even more irritating.

Really glad to see Melancon bounce back. His off speed stuff had the top of the Mets order whiffing. Good win tonight.

Not sure why Jackson went out there before Greene. Greene should be used in low leverage situations until he figures himself out. I donít trust Jackson either but I trust him more than Greene.

It was a 4 run lead. I realize it was the 8th inning...but with that cushion..that's about as low leverage as you can get. It's not like the Marlins situation when he came into a bases loaded issue (or something like that...runners were on).

Yea, he did face the 3/4/5 but again..he had a 4 run cushion.

Props to Snitker though. I was very pleased with the short hook he gave him...and even more so impressed with the blevins/swarzak changes. Lefty/righty matchups. Get the best matchups you can to get these outs.

Greene just doesn't have that "out" pitch yet. He had no issues getting ahead of them...but, man, he'd leave a 0-2/1-2 pitch fat over the middle of the plate.

I wonder if he's having issues getting on the same page with Flowers/McCann or, as the guys alluded to in the broadcasting booth, he's just trying to throw the "perfect" pitch.

It also does not help that, for the second time, Culberson does not help Greene in handling a routine grounder that should of been a double play. This defense at SS is seriously killing us.

Good win though. Jr. is seriously awesome and Fried pitched a dandy.

I know Cody and Christian are ahead of him right now. But if Ronald gets to 40/40, while leading the NL in hits and steals, heíll have a legit shot at winning MVP. While saber metricsís have largely taken over, MVP voters still love majestic numbers. Bring the 5th guy to do it in history, possibly the only guy to do it without PEDís, will get him votes.

I was wondering this yesterday. 40/40 is a pretty crazy achievement. IMO the guy in the drivers seat is Yelich. He could make a run at 40/30 while possibly leading these three guys in HR, 2B, AVG, OBP, SLG, OPS. RBI & Runs are important and he wonít win either, but those are also stats a player has less control over.

40/40 would go down as a truly great season and Acuna May finish 3rd in the MVP race. Thatís crazy. More crazy is he is 21 yrs old. Rarely do top prospects exceed their projections, but Acuna appears to be well on his way to doing that. That extension by AA is looking absolutely amazing right now; Albies too.

Well, for most teams a 4 run lead would be low leverage lol My concern when he came in the game was he would let the Mets back in the game and that's exactly what happened. If Snit wanted to use I would have preferred to see him face the bottom of the Mets order.
