I get that you're not a shields fan, but I don't see the harm in signing a veteran pitcher who eats innings to a 1 year deal. He's not a club house cancer. I don't really see the problem. His era was 4.53 last year. That's good enough for second best on the team right now.

Ever since I typed something positive about Banuelos, he has pitched like crap. Now that Iíve commented positively about McCann yesterday, naturally he goes 0 for 4.

I think this whole team sucks!

Looks like 2 games may be the closest we get to .500 for the near future. We have a tough stretch coming up this week. It does get easier after that though.
If we can win a couple of games this week, things will start to look better next week.

Iím just happy with what Giolito right now. I always throw out Kluber when talking about how some pitchers take a while to find it. Klubes was 28 when he became a legit pitcher.

IF Giolito, Lopez, Moncada and Anderson can stay at or near where they are consistently then this year will have been a success, regardless of final record.
Eloy is back, hoping he can play the rest of the season without any further issues.

Tilson AKA Mr. Glass has been a nice surprise and even Cordell in RF has been ok.

McCann and Colome have also exceeded expectations
It is hard to stop losing streaks when we have uncertainty with 3/5 of the rotation and a questionable bullpen.
Then there is Alonso who I have grown sick of..

I hope we can avoid getting swept by Houston and Minnesota. One win against each would be OK with me.
Astro fans are still pizzed about 2005. I on the other token, have fond memories of Games 3 and 4 when watching the Sox play there.

I would love for us to go hard after Keuchel and call up Cease in June. Once that draft compensation is gone, I don't see the issue with Keuchel.

    Keuchel/Giolito/Lopez/Cease/Nova would be solid

Colome was a great addition this year. Already exceeding expectations as a closer

If you plan on contending next year, you don't move Colome or McCann.....

If Zack Burdi comes back and shows something this year you can look at moving Colome. That would be a big IF, but it's possible.
