Clearly not everyone loves Chipotle ... some number greater than 1 of the people in this thread don't love it.

I don't care if you call it Mexican food, Chinese food or rat poison. The food tastes better than pretty much every Mexican restaurant I've been to.

Your statement 'ever was' is invalid, because you never ate at store #1. Or 2, 3, 4, 5......1000. So there.

I recently had my wisdom teeth pulled, so soft foods only, mostly chicken noodle soup.

Whenever I look for mexican food in a new place I read reviews that look for two things. One... any review that talks about how cheesy things are is a bad sign. Two I look for reviews from California, Arizona or New Mexico that talk about authentic. Then I know I am getting somewhere.

This is very true. Not all locations are equal. The restaurants definitely have some basic standards, but they aren't uniform at all. This is true of many chain restaurants. Sometimes it's tough to believe they are all the same name.
Prior to 11/1/19: if you were on my ignore list, I was sticking to ignoring you thanks to great advise.
From 11/1/19 on: I will no longer be responding to comments back to people on my ignore list.

Think long and hard about why you respond to nonsense. Please!

If you want to stand up for Chipotle as decent to good Mexican food, be my guest but that reflects on your poor taste as much as anything. What's next? You going to tell me I'm nuts for not thinking McDonald's makes some of the best burgers around?
