Anybody have any info on Danny Hultzenís injury status? Still holding out hope he can be an asset down the stretch.

Probably a bullpen addition for next year though

There's no way we see him this year.

That said, he's at least some one to monitor

Chicago Cubs 2019 Minor League News, Notes and Updates

FanGraphs updated their top 100 prospects.

Nico is 53, Amaya is 61. Seems about right. They had Amaya over Nico until this update but moved Nico ahead ďbecause he can play up the middle and they think heíll rake.Ē

Where it gets weird is that they have Aramis Ademan at 92. No Marquez or Davis. FG has always been high on Ademan, but I canít explain that one. Hopefully Theo can use him in a trade to some team that values him like FG does.

He had a nice start to the year, and I guess that was enough to sell them on progress with the bat? They never thought he'd be more than a bit above average at the plate for a shortstop. They just think he's going to stick there and hit enough to be an average regular. It's not a sexy profile, but it's one that they think has a relatively high probability of having some major league impact at the top of the defensive spectrum. That fits in about right at the end of the top 100.

But yeah, they also think Marquez is likely a reliever and Davis is in A-ball with relatively few plate appearances and a couple of hand injuries. The developmental paths there are more risky.

I respect your opinion, but you really think Ademan has a top 100 profile and that ranking him above Marquez and Davis is justifiable?

Ademan is 21 in a few weeks and hasnít had results in 2 tries at A+. Iím not going to say itís impossible he can be good, but Iíll take Davis and Marquez over him every time. Ademan would be towards the back of my cubs top 10.

Marquez not in the top 100 is stupid. His stuff is too good and he's dominated High A.

Davis is a little more understandable but even then surprised hes not in the back end.

I've never been high on Ademan so to see him in the top 100 is it is a joke to me. Guy doesn't seem to have a single plus tool and his bat kinda sucks. (Its also his second go around at that level...)

Fangraphs is even more down on this system right now than I am...

A couple of months ago, I was thinking he could be a guy moved regardless of his ranking. Now that he's in the top 100, he should really push this guy in a trade.
