Wasn't sure the best place to put this. This seemed like the most recent prison system conversation.

    https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/...29/4779704002/

18 Mississippi inmates have died in state custody over the last 50 days.

Are you complaining that convicted criminals are dying in prison, or are you complaining that convicted criminals are dying in prison?

Wait am I misreading this. These look like the same thing to me. I am sure that I must be mixing up the order of two words or something in my head.
Prior to 11/1/19: if you were on my ignore list, I was sticking to ignoring you thanks to great advise.
From 11/1/19 on: I will no longer be responding to comments back to people on my ignore list.

Think long and hard about why you respond to nonsense. Please!

What is missing is what is a normal mortality rate in Mississippi state prisons?

Fewer people in prison would likely result in less prisoner deaths. Let's let all non-violent criminals out now. We can even make Special happy and deport them!

I meant specifically Dbroncs point. It looks like the same sentence twice. Typically when someone does that, there is a small difference in the sentence to make a point. But it looks the same to me. I was just trying to see what I'm missing.

I'm glad to see Trump standing up for the little guy who has been so wrongfully ignored before his great administration took place in year 0T. We have stopped using years after Jesus and have adopted the Trump Yearly Standard in this house.

FWIW we stopped using years after Jesus a while back. It's now CE for Common Era, and BCE for Before Common Era.

And Presidential pardons are wildly underused. Debartolo should not have been charged in the first place since it was entrapment, and the illegal behavior was on the governments side.

Positioned at the very end of the criminal justice system, prisons and prisoners get minimal attention. Intended to keep the convicted away from society, prisons are often places of injustice with little possibility of rehabilitation Upsers.
