Mirotic can light it up and will be great with Giannis and that second quarter unit with Hill/Snell/Brown. To get a 16 and 8 guy for Smith/Johnson and 2nd rounders is another great move by Horst. A lot of people were worried when he took over but he has been great thus far.
Exactly. His thing was trading middleton for mirotic and have him play the wing and even defend SGs at times.

I like the deal and it was totally worth it. We wanted to build a team of shooters around giannis and we've done it.. My biggest concern is that we struggled with horford in the playoffs last year. I think that could still be an issue. All of our competitors have talented bigs and my worry is how well handle those guys come playoff time still.

The Bucks will send two Wizards second rounders that were acquired this year in taking on Jason Smith and Jodie Meeks‘ deals to offer cap relief to Washington.

The Bucks will also send a top-55 protected pick from Denver, which was acquired in exchange for Roy Hibbert in another deal built primarily around cap machinations playing out, and was never expected to convey prior to the Nuggets’ breakout success this season.

The only one of Milwaukee’s own second rounders set for New Orleans is their selection in the 2020 draft.

This is directly from my Dad:

The "Mirotic trade" is huge and may bring us the title for the following reasons (in that order of importance):

    1. The Bucks now have a player that they can put on KD in the finals against GSW...
    2. The Bucks now have a player that can "protect" Giannis from being tired or injured until the playoffs.
    3. The Bucks can now play a dreadful Bledsoe, Middleton, Mirotic, Giannis, Lopez starting lineup.
    4. The Bucks can now "protect" Middleton too, but also don't have to worry if Middleton stays or goes for next season, as they can always play a Bledsoe, Brogdon, Mirotic, Giannis, Lopez starting roster.
    5. The Bucks can now play a dreadful Bledsoe, Brogdon, Middleton, Mirotic, Giannis starting lineup.
    6. The Bucks can play a dreadful Bledsoe, Middleton, Giannis, Mirotic, Lopez starting lineup, in case Giannis develops his 3pt shooting into the next level...
    7. The Bucks can now play a Giannis, Brogdon, Middleton, Mirotic, Lopez dreadful lineup...
    8. The Bucks can plan to play a Giannis, Middleton, Mirotic, Wood, Lopez dreadful lineup, as long as they will have Wood NBA ready (soon...)
    9. The Bucks can now play two out of Mirotic, Middleton & Giannis on the floor for the whole 48mins a game lasts...
    10. The Bucks can now plan to play a Bledsoe, Middleton, Mirotic, Wood, Giannis dreadful lineup, as long as they will have Wood NBA ready (soon...)

Expect to see Wood used in the regular rotation, Middleton getting SG minutes, Mirotic's minutes being shared between SF and PF & Ilyasova only getting SbC playing time just after the playoffs and for the rest of the season...

Bucks are already projected as favorites to win the East and play to the finals by the bookies & expert analysts after the "Mirotic trade"...
