    Very good signing.

He provides depth at all four infield positions, can easily start for long stretches at all four positions, and allows them to play the best of the four at any time (Cano, Frazier, Smith, and Rosario).

Can easily get 600 PA's, and really raises the floor of the team.

So I'm guessing they still aren't enamored with Dom Smith, and think Alonso may not be coming up this year. Or they could have a trade worked out for McNeill or Frazier. Never a bad thing to have an excess of MIF depth, however.

    Alonso will be at AAA

Lowrie is a considered an everyday utility player, he will start everywhere in the infield.

Smith is a back up first baseman for now.

McNeil May start many games at LF and be supplemented by either Lagares or Broxton for defensive purposes.

They could not get a CF, but I guess this is the way they will go.
