Browns traded Zeitler to the Giants for Olivier Vernon????? Why tf didnít we offer Everson Griffen for him? Heís 10x more productive than Vernon and Zeitler is one of the best pass protecting guards in football. If weíre going to sign an elite guard in free agency itís going to command the money that Zeitler is making anyway. I guess maybe we want draft picks instead of players making top dollar already?

T.J. Lang released by the Lions. I would like to see him in purple.

My thoughts exactly. Griffen is not only better but significantly cheaper. Holy **** Vernon has cap hits of $19 million for the next two years. Of course...we never know what happens behind the doors so maybe we were in on it.

Absolutely....anyone got PFF grades for Lang. He could be a nice stop gap for a few years perhaps?

EDIT: Just read he is thinking of retirement. Looks like he sustained a neck injury last year.

He has been injured the last few years but when he's healthy he's a pretty good guard. Better than anything we have for sure. Lang said in January he wanted to keep playing and was open to a pay cut to stay in Detroit.

Danny Amendola released. He struggles to stay healthy but could be a solid slot receiver. We'll likely have limited funds to sign FA's so he might be cheap enough to fit the budget.

Anyone else wish we held off one more year and went after Foles instead of Cousins?

I still don't believe in Foles so no. My only wish would for Teddy never getting hurt.

I donít think Foles is going to be the same outside if Philly either, but the guy has shown that heís got stones and plays great in big games. Basically the exact opposite of our QB.

I was a huge Teddy guy and defended him for a while on this forum, but he looked pretty crappy in week 17 playing with mostly starters for New Orleans. One game is no way to judge a player however, especially when they have absolutely zero chemistry playing with each other. So my Teddy bias will let that one slide. Still donít know if heís ever going to be given a shot to lead a team as a starter though.

All this talk about the Cardinals might not get more than a 3 for Rosen?? Didnít the Jets trade Teddy for a 3rd rounder to the Saints to be the backup?? Iíd have to think the Cards will get more than that for a guy that they traded up to draft 10th overall a year ago.

It's easy to look back at the year and say what if we hadn't signed Cousins for all that money, when now it means possibly parting with some guys we'd rather keep, etc...........but we did sign him, so the question is where to go from here?

A good draft, a few possibly somewhat painful cuts, a couple inexpensive FA signings.....and if done right, Kirk has more weapons and more time and who knows what that offense can do...
