Westbrook is expected to sign a 1 year deal tomorrow. No word on the dollar amount yet. Westbrook said he’ll be ready for the start of training camp.

I mean it should be pretty similar to last season, honestly the biggest issue/worry is the oline again. Outside of that we basically lost Rudolph and got Westbrook right? It's the same basic core pieces.

The key is going to be is the defense top 10 or so now with the additions (Hunter/Pierce/Tomlinson/Richardson/Peterson/Breeland/Woods/alexander added compared to last year).

No way Zimmer gives up his pride and joy.

PP will speak his mind about trading for him.

I dunno about trading Barr but I think we should definitely be reaching out to see what it would take. This feels like exactly what we need to top off this revamped defense.

I mentioned Barr simply because we wouldn't have to give up high draft picks and because, the way they reworked his contract, Barr is basically gone after this season.

Even with Barr, it wouldn't be a one for one deal, but less draft capital.
Course I was also thinking it gets Anthony closer to his home in Cali...but don't actually know where he lives

If I'm AZ, I'm reaching out to the Dolphins. Elite player swap essentially.

Ya, I was moreso thinking we should use draft capital even if it's just one year to me this feels like the all in season. We have some cap pushed down the road, Cousins jumps to 45 mil next year and there are other contracts needing work while we are almost at cap projected next year already.

I was against the move last year but I would give a 2nd and later round pick for a nice DE at this point. I think that is the last kinda bigger need left after signing dede (if you assume the rookie OL are able to step in and make impact). I think an elite pass rush is huge obviously and with our interior D now, LB's and PP/Breeland added to secondary as well I think we can be really good this year. I would take the shot if it were up to me.

right, if we assume some of our draft picks can contribute well, even start (especially Darrisaw and Davis) the only real hole is opposite Hunter

I'd have no issue just spending draft capital to match Chandler with Danielle even knowing there's pieces we'll lose next year....because, as you alluded to, we're going to anyway

So, is Denzel Mims the next LaQuan Treadwell? Or would he be worth a Day 3 pick to bring in?
I mean, I remember the talk surrounding him before his draft and that some considered him to have been a great value for the Jets at #59

or do we already have enough in the WR room at this point......
