Possible first round pick for our Skins ?

Duke redshirt junior QB Daniel Jones declared for the 2019 Draft.

Jones (6'5/220) had an uneven three seasons with a weak supporting cast, finishing with a 59.5 career completion percentage. There's some concern Jones may need time to develop, but his measurables are at the top of this year's class. Jones draws strong grades for his pocket presence and mechanics after being developed under quarterback guru David Cutcliffe at Duke. Jones is a first-round lock and has potential to be a top-five pick.

Bleh, this is the weakest QB class in quite a while. At least since 2013.

None of these guys look ideal to me at the moment.

Well, we have had horrible luck drafting QB's high anyway......Heath Schuler & RG 3.......come to mind. Nothing guaranteed in a draft...

In a sense. Someone should've stood up in the playoff game and not let him play on our terrible field, but as we've found out, no one has the authority to do that.

pick 15 isn't a high pick.... I don't want us to draft a QB until we get the Alex Smith deal off the books. I want some cap space to build around the guy while hes still on his rookie deal, not have him come in and not be able to improve the team.

I've been proposing the tanking thing on so many platforms, but I doubt we do it. Allen, like Jon Gruden, hates young QBs. Chances are we trade a third round pick and Fabian Moreau for Flacco.

I honestly don't see a quick fix now. So many needs,....so few opportunities to fill those needs....

I am passing on a 1st round QB selection. We will likely have our choice from most outside of Haskins. Instead I would look to sign a decent QB this offseason to a one year deal. Maybe a Josh McCown or Teddy Bridgewater, this will hold us over for a season until Smith can get healthier or, if he is unable to come back, until the next draft where maybe we can get a better pick/prospect selection pool. Continue to stack the defense as we have for the past two draft selections. I am not enamored with any of the WR prospects in this draft either to take at 15. We have huge needs at MLB, CB, and S. I would suggest going in that direction.
