He’s 18 won’t turn 19 till Dec.23rd. So if and when he signs he will be 19. So how does that effect his 1st yr. slide. Does it slide, does it not slide, does it go back to how many games he plays like with Andersson—so as long as he doesn’t play in 10 games he’s good? What’s the guidelines with regards to that?

BTW, Rangers have recalled Cole Schneider.

Yes which means in 2019 he will be turning 20. And he can’t sign his ELC til his season is over, which is 2019. So no contract slide eligibility. Remember this rule applies to the same calendar year, Jan-Dec.

    Around the net rumors:

Minnesota has made Coyle available, big bodied righthanded center/RW. Would be great to have 4th righthanded forward—Zibenajad, Fast, Strome( won’t count Fogarty as he will likely be sent down when everyone is healthy).

Colorado could have interest in Hayes as they are playing well and looking to solidify their team,

St.Louis is faltering and looking to make changes. They haven’t been the same since trading Shattenkirk ironically—their locker room captain who addressed the team/motivated the team as one st.louis reporter stated wasn’t afraid to go out and address the media and shoulder the blame/shielding teammates. Saw another report that said Tarasanko hasn’t been the same since Shattenkirk, Reaves and Lehtera—his close personal friends have been dealt. Maybe they are willing to bring back Shattenkirk.

Karlsson appears to be unwilling to sign an extension with SJ. Rumor is since he’s close friends with Lundqvist and Claesson was his defensive partner in Ottawa he is interested and coming here. With that rumor and the Panarin rumor, may mean we need to trade out some salary, may be a smart move to move some of our higher salaries—especially those who aren’t working for as such as Shattenkirk who’s getting 6.5 mil. to play 3rd line minutes.

BTW, Fogarty and Schneider were sent down to Hartford. Could mean Zuccs and Buchnevich are back.
