    2018/2019 Offseason thread

Now that the champion has been crowned in all three leagues, it's time for the offseason and it's plenty left to be announced.

We still have to officially find a driver for the #1, #41, 3rd Front Row car. Where will Kurt Busch go? Daniel Suarez? AJ Allmendinger? Will Jamie McMurrary retire?

Next up for series is awards show Nov 29.

Kurt to the #1, Suarez to the #41, Dinger to sports cars or something of that nature and Jamie out of a ride. Those are my guesses.

It will be interesting to see how the ford group responds to going to a new car next year. Will Chevy make a jump? Toyota should be better with another year under their belt with their new car.

I think Jamie will end up taking that deal to run the 500 then have that advisory position at Ganassi

I hope Jimmie's car ends up having a base color of metallic purple with white accents, instead of vise-versa
    YOU JUST MADE THE LIST!!!!!

    HAPPY RUSSEV DAY!!!

I don't really understand why SHR wants Suarez so badly, unless he has put together a really sweet sponsorship deal, but that seems to be the way it's heading. And Kurt will keep the #1 seat warm until Chastain wins the NXS championship next year.

Probably hoping the situation turns out like it did for Penske and Joey Logano lol. You think Chastain will get the #1 seat in the near future? I kinda feel like JH Nemechek might get that seat in a few years. But who knows since they gave Chastain the XF ride.

Last sentence tells the tale...Nemecheck got passed over by Chastain for the full-time NXS gig, and the deal got put together because the sponsor (DC Solar) pressured Chip Ganassi to go get him. Chastain easily could have been 3 for 3 in his starts in the #42 - wrecked by Harvick at Darlington, won at Las Vegas, finished second at Richmond.

With McDonald's likely shifting over to the #42 Cup car and Larson, I think it opens it up to bring Chastain to Cup with DC Solar in the #1 in a year or two. Kurt will probably bring Monster Energy with him while he's at CGR.
