Rocco Baldelli to be Named Twins Manager?

At only 37 and 8 years retired as a player, it appears the team will announce that Rocco Baldelli will be named the Twins' new manager. He embraces the statistical side of the game and still has the credibility of being a former player. He has no "game" experience as a manager, but served as the Rays' field coordinator and was their 1B coach.

Give the guy a chance and see what happens. I hope he teaches or makes the guys to bunt more to take away the shift. That is one thing I hate seeing, is these major league players being to "PROUD" to bunt.

I like this move. I was always impressed by Rocco Baldelli as a player. He embraces the statistical side of baseball and still has the credibility of a former major league ballplayer. Had it not been for injuries and illnesses, he could easily still be playing.
I think the players will be excited to play for this guy.
