I might be overreacting, but my two main concerns, climate change and ending American adventurism isn't being addressed by either party. In fact, they seem hell-bent to go in the opposite direction. And the American public keeps voting them back and tells us that AOC or Sanders is the dangerous one. You know, the ones who are against endless war or seeking to soften the climate change burden on us.

that would be North Dakota....may as well be Canada, eh?

it's funny tho...when I've been/lived elsewhere it's amazing how many people when I say where I'm from hear South and respond 'so it's hot all the time' umm, no....while others hear Dakota and respond 'so it's cold all the time' umm, no......I usually say we have two seasons- too damn hot and too damn cold...with a 2 week spring and fall in between...sometimes

Joe Biden will be controlled by the squad as his autopen will be in full force.

The squad and co want to do a complete makeover of the US. Why doesn’t Pelosi just let them have her seat? Just give it to them Nancy, they have you on strings as well.

And what is the purpose of painting crap on the roads going to accomplish?

The far left has lost their minds.

Everyday I just laugh with the stuff I see that is coming from them.

I don’t have a problem of making a point on issues but it is just the way they going at it.

DeBlasio painting was the hilarious thing so far. How is a guy who can’t run a city going to stay inside the lines when painting on the street? The far left can make him eat a bowl of horse crap and he’d say it is pretty good too.

Give it up. Stop....so fake and ridiculous!

why is media coming up with what should be conditions from Joe Biden in a debate.

    https://www.nytimes.com/2020/07/07/o...mp-debate.html

Biden Should Not Debate Trump Unless …

Here are two conditions the Democrat should set.
First, Biden should declare that he will take part in a debate only if Trump releases his tax returns for 2016 through 2018. Biden has already done so, and they are on his website. Trump must, too. No more gifting Trump something he can attack while hiding his own questionable finances.

And second, Biden should insist that a real-time fact-checking team approved by both candidates be hired by the nonpartisan Commission on Presidential Debates — and that 10 minutes before the scheduled conclusion of the debate this team report on any misleading statements, phony numbers or outright lies either candidate had uttered. That way no one in that massive television audience can go away easily misled.
Yes, the fact that we have to make truth-telling an explicit condition is an incredibly sad statement about our time; normally such things are unspoken and understood. But if the past teaches us anything, Trump might very well lie and mislead for the entire debate, forcing Biden to have to spend a majority of his time correcting Trump before making his own points.
    1. releasing tax returns was optional, not mandatory.

    2. this would act as if Joe Biden has always been factual/truthful. he hasn't.

    This from Wikipedia………

Native Americans have a long history in the Black Hills. After conquering the Cheyenne in 1776, the Lakota took the territory of the Black Hills, which became central to their culture.

    "Conquering" "Took"

The Lakota stole the land from the Cheyenne!!!!!

Then the whiteys took it from the Lakota.

    It's like an isosceles triangle.

So who really owns what……The Cheyenne, the Lakota or the Whiteys. (Possession is 9/10s of the law.)
While Lincoln was freeing slaves, he was executing Lakota Indians and the nation put bounties on them.

We stole the land. We didn’t offer coexistence like they did. We murdered them. Took the land. Forced them into tiny corners of desert land. Built developments through them, tore down burial sites and sacred ground to build a border wall.

If you honestly don’t think we owe some huge reparations to native Americans, you have no soul.

    “The media”

It’s an opinion piece. How do you still not know the difference.

I'm not in the slightest disagreeing with reparations...I wanna say that up front. But the we you refer to wasn't anyone still living and my family didn't get her until 1905. Also, its not that they haven't gotten some reparation, or been offered it...they've declined monetary reparations and want their land.

Now, even if we think they should get it, exactly how would that work? Most of the land is either privately owned or, if the government retained it, most was retained to preserve it, not develop it. Plus, while our government obviously played a part in that, their numbers are not high enough to just give them thousands of acres of undeveloped land....not to mention that over the years they've intermarried so how would that work, how much native blood justifies reparation.

Years ago there was a movie called Thunderheart (excellent BTW) that was based on a SD reservation and starred Val Kilmer. Would you look at him and think he's native? Something like his great grandmother was Cherokee, and even in the movie it's said he got that case (he's a federal agent) because he's got native blood (which surprised him, because even he barely remembered he had any).

Anyway, reparations would be and has been a very complicated topic and is a reason they're allowed to have casinos to profit from and share with tribe members....problem is each casino is for each tribe so some benefit vastly more than others.

They also allow conservatives to post opinions. There’s no media angle in the opinion section.

It really doesn’t matter when our families got here or who’s not alive from the 1800s. It’s the same imperialist mentality that still exists today. I’m also part Native American but distant. Regardless, the we is the collective society of any color that continues to decide what the native people should and shouldn’t get.

They deserve their land and a day it what happens to it.
